Company Description
Queen’s Wharf Brisbane Economic Development Queensland
With Draftech’s thorough understanding of building services modelling and close attention to detail, Forth has been afforded the opportunity to outsource some of our BIM projects with absolute confidence in the accuracy of the final product. Thank you for all your efforts on our projects; they have been an invaluable contribution to their success. The integration of green spaces and waterfront access is a key aspect of the project’s design. It represents one of the largest and most complex urban renewal projects in Brisbane’s history, blending cutting-edge architecture with historical preservation to create a vibrant, multi-functional precinct along the Brisbane River.
The residential towers, which are among the tallest structures in Brisbane, offer a mix of luxury apartments with panoramic views of the river and city. The project’s design and execution reflect an impressive scale of construction and urban planning, aiming to create a dynamic and cohesive environment that revitalizes Brisbane’s waterfront. The development integrates multiple components, including four high-rise residential towers, a world-class casino, expansive retail spaces, and a range of hospitality venues.
The Dorsett and Rosewood hotels are due to open by the end of 2026. Lúc Lắc has created a lush, indoor-outdoor, tropical setting for an Indochine restaurant and bar that can seat 159 people. Queen’s Wharf consists of four towers situated atop a seven-storey podium and a five-level basement.
The design aims to integrate tourism, leisure and entertainment facilities in an underutilised part of the city. This involved the placement of a 175-tonne piece of steel 100 metres above ground level, between the two curved towers. The project’s location was criticised for its proximity to the historical heart of the city and government seat of power.
Lower impact than transport infrastructure but stable demand. $3.6B integrated resort/casino opens 2024. Moderate impact vs transport infrastructure. The Star Grand features 340 luxury rooms and a 360-degree signature cocktail bar. The luxury five star Star Grand hotel occupies towers two and three, which are the two curved towers. Cicada Blu, an open-air bar and Euro-inspired eatery called Aloria will both be located on the Sky Deck. Japanese fine dining will be available at Sokyo restaurant.
RLB is proud to have played a pivotal role in this city-shaping project, delivering cost certainty and contributing to a new era for Brisbane. Draftech have proven to be a valuable and trustworthy resource and we will continue to work with Draftech on other projects. We had multiple large projects with tight deadlines and needed a company we could trust.
Seven and a half hectares of space have been allocated for public use. The Sky Deck extends 250 metres around the top of two towers. There will be around 50 new cafés, bars and restaurants in the resort. The megaproject is one of Australia’s biggest mixed-use precincts. On the art front, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane has announced “Sheila,” a five-metre-high, five-tonne bronze sculpture by Brisbane artist Justene Williams, as part of its $3.6 billion public art offering.
The Star Brisbane residency proposed redevelopment includes a public health facility, private hospital, aged care and retirement living, residential accommodation, childcare facilities, retail and restaurants. By October 2021 the lift cores for both the Dorsett hotel and Rosewood hotels had reached level 21. Select two infrastructure projects needed most ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympics The integrated resort and entertainment precinct includes four towers and 5 and 6 star premium hotel brands. The project includes delivery of the shell and core works covering the basement, base services, tower structures and the facade of the main integrated resort.
This project will bring a Latin American-inspired venue with Asian fusion elements to The Terrace at The Star Brisbane.
