Erectile dysfunction medications took in Glengormley

Large of unlicensed medicines have been seized by Department of Health officials throughout a search of a home in Glengormley.

A male was talked to by department officers about unlawfully importing and subsequently supplying unlicensed impotence medications through the web.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medication offences.

He will now be the topic of a report to the general public Prosecution Service.

The search was performed by the department’s Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, said: “It is essential that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medicines can be harmful.

“These kinds of products being sold, normally online, have gone through no quality assurance and there can be no warranty about their safety.

“You just do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these items were made in. More notably, you do not know the effect drugs like this may have on your health.”
